New here and ready to take control of my life

Hello my name is Jessica, I am a proud wife and mother who is ready to be able to run with my daughter with out issues.

I have been over weight my whole life. The smallest I can remember being was a size 9 in the 6th grade when all my friends were a size 6 and smaller.

Last summer I lost 20 pounds watching my portion sizes, cutting out soda and working out every other day. Over time I got stuck on my weight loss. I was not losing anything and I just got dissappointed and gave up entierly. I have now gained back all 20 pounds and then some.

2 weeks ago I decided to hop on the scale just to see and I was horrified at the numbers I seen. At that point I was so mad at myself for not sticking to my previous routine. I have since been counting calories and working out on my wii fit every chance I get. I have lost 2 pounds so far.

I currently weigh 254.5, my "healthy weight" is 116 per the doctor but my goal is to get to 170-180 by next june.

It's usually a good idea to start by reading the "sticky threads" at the top of each section of the forum. You may also find some motivation and inspiration from the "Before & After" and "Weight Loss Diary" sections.
