Hey I just found the forum, and I hope it will help with my motivation. I don't know how it happened but in three years I've gone from 175 pounds to 255, and I've had enough. I'm going to try and make this run before my child is born with a due date of July 31.

Welcome to the forum. :)

So any game plan for how you are going to go about getting the weight off?

I've been lifting for a while, I'm going to incorporate 30-45 minutes of cardio daily into my weight lifting routine. I'll go back to my old wrestler diet of 3 small tuna fish sandwiches a day, and 3 small dry salads. Back then I had my team to keep me motivated though, it's going to be a lot tougher now.

Let me ask you this.

Do you enjoy that diet of 3 tuna sandwiches and salads?

There's no point in setting up too high of hurdles when steady weight loss can come just as well with a more balanced approach, IMO. And said balance usually brings about more consistency anyhow.

Your absolutely right about that, when it comes to most people, but for some reason when I can get myself going in that routine I'm completely content. When I go with a more rational approach, I find it's much easier for me to fail. I guess it's just routine from the last twenty years in the sport that I loved so dearly. It kind of makes me feel like I'm still training for something other than vanity. It's a fairly healthy diet, and I feel comfortable with it knowing that it works. The only difference is this time I'm using to cut 75 pounds instead of 15.

Congrats

You are newly pregnant!! A big congratulations. Is this your first? My only concern when I read your post is that you are working with your doctor. Your diet directly effects the development of your baby. The exercise is probably great, but work with your doctor on your eating plan. You have much different nutritional needs than most of us.
Good luck, a healthier mommy is a better mommy, no doubt!

Have at it then.

I'd add some more veggies to the mix.

Some might say you're going to die of mercury poisoning, lol, but I've seen guys eat much more tuna.

I think she's a he.

And his wife is delivering the baby, he's having a child. :)

You are correct there sir, I wouldn't be as concerned about my weight if it was I who was pregnant. Thanks for the support, I know I can do this.
