New guy.

Hey there, I'm a rather errm... rotund individual who's been working at improving his physical conditioning. I'm hoping that while browsing this forum I'll be able to pick up some tips from other like minded individuals and eventually work my way up to running a 5k. My wakeup call was when I discovered that my formerly 260lb 6'1 frame which while admittedly has always been on the heavier side due to build, had increased in size to 348lbs(and this was after some people had told me I looked like I'd lost weight.I shutter to think what I weighed at my heaviest). Luckily I carry my weight well and even at my heaviest people generally guessed I weighed in the 250-280 range.

Since January I've managed to drop quite a bit of weight and weighed in at 315lbs last wednesday. I'm currently working on dropping more by cutting out sugary beverages, snacks, shrinking portions at meals and walking around an hour a day.

Someone of my size is probably somewhat out of place on a forum like this but hopefully I'll be able to fit in and find my own little niche.
