Hi everyone,

My name is Jason and I am here mostly for motivation. I am about 210 lbs and my bodyfat is about 29%. When I was in high school I was somewhere around 150 and when I went to college I gained all of my weight. I am really into mountain biking, and can keep up with the other riders around town untill the climbs. There are a couple races I would like to do next summer and I hope to be down to 155. I have stopped eating fast food every day, which is very convenient where I work. I also either walk or bike daily. Thanks in advance for your support, this seems like a great forum.

Welcome aboard! :)

Cleaning up the food choices and moving more is an excellent way to start! Keep up the positive change and make yourself a home. I'm sure you'll find a ton of motivation and information around here.

Thanks for the kind words. It has been a week since I started my full diet. The only problem I have run into was not being very hungry a couple nights ago. I ate a bowl of cheerios and skim milk and the next morning I was feeling dead, it was pretty obvious that I didnt get enough calories.

Yea.. you have to make sure you eat right and eat what you need to eat ..
if you go into a starvation mode ..which is when your body starts not being hungry ..you dont eat ..thus an EDisorder has started and than you start eating .. you will actually gain more weight by not eating ..than by eating right

I know that was confusing ..anyway I have experience in this ..because I didn't eat for a long time and it came back on me big time ..because your body wants to store as much fat as it can ..now that you are eating ..after not eating ..
all I am trying to say ..is ..eat right ..make sure you eat a good meal and just exercise ..and it will all work out ..listen to Steve .. he knows what he is talking about ... :)
Just don't eat too little ...your body might get used to eating too little ..and you wont eat .and thus ..all that crap up above starts occurring ...
best wishes
