New guy here, and I'm on a mission. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. No one can change that but me. I've got a plan, a tracking tool I made myself, and I'm focused. I'm 5'9" 306#. 9 years ago I was 180 #s and running 23 miles per week (That was as low as I could go...I had a 32" waist and was lifting weights daily at 180). My goal is to slowly but surely get to around 200# and be able to run again. Perhaps not to the same level I was back then, but at least be able to run a couple miles. I did it before, and I can do it again. This time, I will stay reasonably close to my goal. Step 1 was quit smoking...did that a few months ago. Step 2 was get my knee and feet better...did that. Step three was start walking on the treadmill. Started. Step four is a balanced diet plan, daily meal plans, and tracking what I eat and how much I walk. I developed a spreadsheet for that. I started this journey today. As much as I enjoy blogging about my hobbies, I thought a forum about these efforts would assist in keeping me focused. I hope I can add to the discussions and learn some things along the way.
