New guy looking for advice

Hey Everyone. Hows it going?

Kinda new to the fitness thing and any advice would be awesome. I would like to lose a bit of fat around my stomach and chest and also tone up a bit.

I am currently 25 years old
185 cms tall
80 kgs.

Currently My fitness routine is to do 30 mins – 1 hr of cardio 5 – 6 days a week. I usually go for a run at a marathon type pace and then the last 2 mins I sprint and climb stairs as fast as I can.

For weight training I do:

Monday: Biceps
Tuesdays: Shoulders
Wednesdays: Chest
Thursday: Triceps
Friday: Sit ups

Now for Nutrition I am a total newbie. I don’t even know what a calorie is :(

A typical day for me would be:

Breakfast – Sultana Bran oatmeal + low fat milk
2 – 3 hrs later: apple + orange
Lunch: 2 Sandwiches with whole meal bread with lettuce, tomato and cheese.
2 – 3 hrs later: a tin of tuna and another orange.
--++ Instert cardio and weights here ++--
3 – 4 hrs later: Fish or chicken with a salad.
2 hrs later: a bit of toast.

Plus drinking water with the occasional bottle of coke zero.

I used to be 105 kgs so I have lost a lot of weight through cardio, unfortunately I didn’t realize the value of lifting weights and eating properly.

Thanks to everyone who reads this.

Welcome to the site.

Your routine is not structured very well. You have no back or leg work. Sorry cardio doesnt count for legs. You can double up and work biceps with back, and triceps with chest. No need for a separate day for abs, you can add them in on leg day. This will give you more bang for the buck.

As far as nutrition, your protein intake is severly slacking and could use a boost. Eating salads and fruit is not as nutrtional as it is traditional. Each meal should contain a good amount of protein, but Im not saying dont eat the fruits and green stuff. All your meals need it, breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner. Toast does not constitute a meal nor a snack.
