Hey everyone. I'm 41 and I used to be thin in High School, but in my 20's I started creeping up in weight and by my 30'sI was a lot bigger. I wasn't comfortable with that so I started exercising and eating better and had some success, but it came and went.

After many years of experimenting, I have finally figured out a plan that works for me. I used it to get down to a great weight, then at one point I had an injury and I ended up getting discouraged and went back to eating crap foods and was not working out because of the injury.

At this point I am back and almost all the way back down to where I was before, but this time I have managed to retain more of my muscle than previously.

Anyway, I like to share and I like encouragement and support, so this seems like a great place to come to do all that.

Welcome to the forum. It's great to have another member who can share successful experiences. I look forward to your contributions.

Wow that is great. I also did the same thing. I kept exercising while I lost weight. Since food is the critical piece, that is the place where the focus is. How much weight did you lose?

It was only 40 pounds because I was not all that much over weight. I was lucky - I caught myself going down hill before it was too far out of control.

How about you? how did you do?

About 15 pounds, but I was not seriously overweight, but STUCK, if you know what I mean. I did not think that I could ever lose weight again and that has never happened to me before.
