Collegefbfan here. I am in dire need of some help. I am 5 ft. 8 in. tall. I weigh 240 pounds. All of the fat around the middle. Need some motivation and any other help would be appreciated. I am currently drinking only water or unsweetened tea. Trying to cut out all sweets and the like. Exercise is going to be the main deal. I have a bench and some weights and an exercise bike. I also have a wife and two kids. One is a 3 month old boy and a 6 year old girl.

Any tips would be appreciated. How much do you cut calories? How to avoid cravings? Etc.

Welcome to the site.

I highly recommend reading the stickie thread found in the On Topic section of this site titled "words of wisdom." You'll find pretty much anything you need there in terms of info. Calories, work outs, etc.

If you still have specific questions, by all means, let them fire!

The words of wisdom post is a collection of links to threads covering much of what any one starting out should know.
 
Not trying to be a butthole, but the first few pages of each of the links say the same thing. I even went to page 6 of two or three of them, and they still say the same thing. I was hoping to click on the link for clean eating or the one about HIIT and see some info on those topics, but they all say, "Hi, I'm Steve" so forth and so on. What pages does the actual info start on?
