New Guy From UK

Hi

I thought I should introduce myself seeing as I've been lurking about for a little while now and occasionally posting.
I'm 25, work in London and trying to get back in shape after years of sitting slumped in my chair behind this desk. I used to be a bit of an athlete before a few serious leg injuries came along but now after a 6 year rest I'm planning a come back by putting a little muscle on my frame

I'm 6'2", 182lbs, 12%bf and looking to get up to about 200lbs and about 10%bf.
I've been a regular in the gym for a couple of months now but still feel a little lost amongst all the routines I've read about on here. The diet advice has been fantastic though, I've never been healthier and even gave up smoking when I joined the gym in June

To be honest it hasn't been that bad, I'd tried to give up for years but never really lasted longer than about 10 hours but once I started at the gym I found it so tough on my smokers lungs that it gave me real inspiration to keep going

good for u man! i remember when i used to smoke and dance it was like so much harder, then when i quit it was like someone lifted a weight off my shoulders. congrats!

I played just about every sport I could find time to play and was hoping to reach the 11 second mark at the 100m when I tore my hamstring pretty bad (18 y/o), 7 years on now and it's still not strong enough to sprint or play football with but I'm hoping that a bit of gym time will help me strengthen the area enough to give it another go.

Welcome CCR, fellow Londoner.

I presume, you have been seeking professional advice for your hamstring.
