Hey I'm completely new to this site!
I have had problems my entire life with weight loss and weight gain. This time i want it to be different and finally lose the weight I need to. My friends around me make it particularly difficult. I want to do it in a healthy manner. The hard part is I am currently at college, and lets just say college food leaves much to be desired especially on the healthy aspec. I have begun to lack motivation because it seems like no matter what I do if my body doesnt want to lose the weight it wont. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I also really want someone that needs to lose about the same amount as me 40 or so pounds who could maybe work online with each other to motivate and keep each other going. Find some new friends then. You want to stay away from the negativity. You dont have to completely dump them, but you'll need some like minded positive thinking individuals around you.

I agree with the person above me, I've been unmotivated lately, but this site helped me get back on my feet again. :) I hope it will do thesame to you.

Welcome to WLF sweetie :seeya:. You can start a weight loss journal in the diaries section and update it and check in on other people's diaries for motivation and advice.

What's your weight loss strategy going to be? Do you eat in a dining hall or are you at home?

Hah, that's most girls these days say. Don't stick to their words really, cause it''ll mess you up.
 
Heya. I'm in the same boat with college and whatnot, just started, and looking to lose about 50 pounds. If you want to keep in touch, I would be more than happy. Have you already started a weight loss diary on here? I see you're in the chat room, but you aren't talking to me! Hmph. :) Welcome to the forums and the best of luck to you.

HI!!! I'm new here too and this forum is soooo confusing lol! I need to lose about 55 pounds so lets get to it! I don't eat after 7pm as of right now and I am trying not to snack on crap food! I just quit smoking 3.5 months ago so I am trying to take it easy! Better to gain a bit of weight then smoke so I am starting slowly, but I do need to lose 55 lbs.
 
I know. I get sooo confused. Just trying to figure it out. Well we should work together on losing that weight. I need to lose about 50 - 60 lbs to be at a good healthy weight and if i want to be down to my old pref weight i would say 70. doesn't it seem so overwhelming. But I figure everydays a new start. I would love to work with you and try and figure out helpful ways. you can also always im me at ! greeneyedbluez14. hopefully we can help each other do it healthy and motivate. hope all is well and hope we can both figure this crazy thing out soon! good luck!
 
thanks blancita- i appreciate the welcome. and yea i have to eat the dorm food which is awful and the only thing that doesn't taste like cardboard of course is not healthy. do you have any suggestions? I am going to try to work out 5 times a week whether walking or running. and cut calorie intact to about 1200 - 1500. thanks again
