Hello!
After several years of complaining about my weight and a very indulgent holiday in which I put on a 7lbs, I've decided it's about time I did something about my weight.
I'm 21, far too young to feel frumpy and ashamed of my body. I used to be extremely confident, but being "the fat one" in my group of friends has really taken it's toll on my self-esteem. I've suffered badly with my depression, which I put down largely to hating my body.
Would love to get chatting to some people and exchange stories, or just talk about what kind of day we've had while trying to lose weight.
I'm doing Weight Watchers.

Hope to speak to you all! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I did weight watchers a couple years ago and loved it! I am using what I learned then now. I didn't go for very long because of the cost. I did the core program which I thought was easier than counting points.

Welcome to the forum! Start a diary and keep us informed :D.

welcome to the forums !!

i think most people let themselves go a little on holidays :p I know i do

so what is your current weight if you don't mind me asking? :)

My current weight is 155lbs, not too bad I know, but a couple of years ago I was 126, so really I'm just trying to get rid of what I've gained.
Thanks for the welcome message!
How do I start a diary then? x

i used to do weight watchers and lost 27 pounds!! they are awesome! but i kinda gained ti back cuz around that time was the holidays. but im going to start my diet again soon and start working out too. goodluck sweety.

Thanks Trinie,
Yeah I did Weight Watchers 2 years ago and lost about 21 lbs and I felt brilliant! I don't know how I could let myself put it all back on. I stopped going to the meetings and was at university so probably didn't have any motivation or support... I'm determined this time! If I did it then, I can do it now (just need to work on keeping it off!) xxxx

Hey there

I'm a new girl too, so thought I'd say hi! No doubt you will succeed in your aims - I'm thinking of joining WeightWatchers as well, as everyone raves about it! The cost will probably ruin me, but I'll cope! :p

I'm really confused about everyone using lbs to measure their weight, as in the UK everyone seems to use stone. Not that I even know my weight in stone, as I'm too scared to look! Yes, I am a wimp...

I'm from the UK too, so I'm not used to dealing in pounds either, I always consider my weight in stones. But most people on here don't understand so I've had to change my ways!
The thing I like about stones is, you really feel you are losing as the numbers go down. Like, I started this week on 11st 1lb and am hoping by the end of the week to be 10st something - which sounds a lot more satisfying than going from 155lbs to 153lbs don't you think? We should convert America to stones, haha! Also, there are those lovely milestones like losing half a stone.
Stones rule! xxxx

I was so frustrated about the lbs/stones conversion thing that I tried looking it up on mobile internet in bed last night! I'm so sad! :) Stones for the win!
