Thanks for the welcome…I appreciate the same.

I am looking at certain options on weight loss…and they include stuff like jogging for many kilometers almost every day.

Hi Alisha, I'm doing OK, hope your OK too! Well, I think jogging is a great workout but you need rest days to give the body a chance to recover and rebuild. It becomes even more important the harder and longer you jog. There are lots of websites that will give you a training guide in jogging/running. One is Runners World.

But for fat loss, it takes a combination of creating a calorie deficit and exercise.

Welcome to the forum.

While jogging is a great form of exercise there are benefits in doing the kind of exercise which build your muscles and also in ensuring that you eat healthily at the right calorie level...

Having said that - I always say with exercise that the best kind of exercise is something that you enjoy because the biggest trick with weight control appears to be to do something regularly... It sounds like you know that you enjoy jogging - but it can be worth trying new things to see if you like those too...
