New Formula for Max Heart rate?

I am training for a triathlon and do HIIT twice a week. So I have a lot of interest in my heart rate.

Thing is, according to "Zone Training" I am "working to hard" when I run, even though I can run more than 5 miles no problem at that rate with a HR of 159.

Anyway, I was doing some reasearch and found this:

Problem is, with this new formula, if I am under 40 (I am) then my MHR should be lower than originally thought.

Does anyone know of a way to determine what your max HR should be when you are in excellent athletic condition (beyond spending beaucoup bucks to have a stress test)?
