Well, I just joined this site tonight. So I was well fit before I had my kids who consist of three year old twins and a one year old baby. I have alaways ate to much but my very active life kept me fit. Now, I am 154 LBS. and want to lose 16 of that . I hope to do this in 4 months by walking and riding my bike around and doing my daily Pilates routine....maybe doing 10 mile rides before husband leaves for work....I stay home which can make eating the hardest part!!! I get a little bored amd my kids do still take naps which can make that a bad time to overeat. My husband is supportive but likes his bad foods also...
I plan on starting this now...and by using this dairy as a accountability source I hope to stay real and aware. Like right now i have heart burn from eating too much bannana cake that I made for my husband!!!! its summer so that should help. and we have company in town and I picked up pizza....and I did have two pieces of cake today. well that felt good to admit the yuccky food. well i have tonight to drink water and cleanse this out.

well its been awhile, its hard to get to the computer sometimes. I have been doing good, jsut being aware has helped. knowing and admitting tath i want to drop some pounds keeps me acountable.
Breakfast 3 multigrain pancakes (240 cal) and 3 veggie sausage (100 cal), no syrup I make them piggie in a blanket style.
lunch 6 inch veg sub w my own veggie meat and doritoes. (cal ?, maybe 600).
no exercise yet but i do toning while my kids nap...and i watch T.V.
no walking today its maybe 30 degrees!!tortelinni for dinner...should be o.k. as long as i eat salad and do porition control!!
my motivation is to go to a spa day once i leave the 140's, currently in the 150's.
so its friday, the weekends can be tough because i can use food as fun...me and my husband will order chinese or something after the kids go to bed...that is bad habit!! good luck everyone!!:)

hope you are staying motivated hun .. good idea for using a treat as a motivation. just keep thinking of that spa :] hope the weekend wasnt too snacky! x

china study

well, eating has been eratic...but mostly good. Recently I read the China Study, which I LOVE!!! Has anyone read this?? Well, I am currently aiming towards a vegan diet for me and my family. we eat tons of fruit and veggies anyway...its just the ice cream...cheese pizza that will take some getting use to. Doritoes too. I know in my HEART that this way of eating seems logical...especially after reading the book.
we had a birthday party...I did well with the eating...until I came home and felt wound up after putting kids to bed late. ate 5 hershey kiss (yuck and not a good move in the vegan way), a veggie meat and soy cheese sand...and some fritoes. so needless to say i did not need those what 600 cal to put me to bed.....today is a new day and I feel good. Great day everyone....

Heya! Try not to get too discourages- Becoming a vegan after years and years of indulging in non-vegan foods is going to be an on-going challenge. It will definitely take you quite some time to adjust your diet and be able to avoid non-vegan foods, especially those which you love. Health food stores carry all kinds of vegan indulgences including chocolate, ice cream and chips so when you feel the need, there are vegan possibilities! Good luck:)
