New beginnings - Adriana's weight loss journal

Hey there! Thanks for coming by and taking part in my journey. My name is Adriana. I was here about 6 months ago and lost about half of want I wanted to lose. Since then, I had a miscarriage and gained the 14 lbs back that I'd lost, plus a few more. So now I'm back ready to lose EVERYTHING this time! I have 30 lbs to lose and I'd like to get toned up for summer.

I'm sticking to 1200 -1300 cals a day for the duration of my weight loss and then I plan to stay in this healthy eating lifestyle to keep the weight off.

I also want to get active. My husband and I have set up a minigym in our garage and I'm planning on doing cardio 6 days a week and weight training 4.

About me, I'm a wife and mommy to the most wonderful family in the world. I homeschool my kids and we live in East TX. For more info you can go by my pgae on myspace. :)

Hey! So, you sound like you already have the motivation neccessary to get where you wanna be, and thats the number one step, so good job :D With the goals you ahve set for yourself, you should be able to reach your goal weight in no time! Have a great day :)

finished with day one

Hey, I finished out my day with as a snack: package of south beach diet wheat crackers 100 and some carb control yogurt 60.

for dinner I had a can of healthy choice chicken tortilla soup - I needed the cals so I had the whole can - 320 diet coke and weight watchers snack cake - 80

My totals for the day are 1186, 55% carbs, 27% protein and 18 % fat. Pretty good except that I didn't drink enough water - two bottles, about 4 cups.

I forgot to mention that I'm taking one a day weight smart multivitamin and fiber supplements. My nutrition goals are up my fiber and water, and cut back on sugar and fat. Those are things that I will take with me even after I'm at my goal so I think they're a pretty good foundation for weight loss.

Monday

Today was a good day. I even had the munchies!

breakfast: pineapple strawberry banana smoothie - 363

snack: granola bar-90, low fat string cheese - 60

lunch: smoked tuna and 1 tb miracle whip on two slices of double fiber bread - 272 and for desert, weight watchers english toffee ice cream bar!! yum!! - 110

snack: string cheese - 60, couple pieces of cantaloupe - 15

got the munchies right before dinner! but kept myself to baby carrots - 57 and quaker multigrain minis - 60 .... yay me!!

dinner: lean cuisine chicken alfredo pasta - 270

Totals: 1365 and about 70oz of water. Woo HOO!!!! :)
 
Ugh... I'm having sweet cravings.. I think I just need to go to bed. lol

I did good today, provided I don't eat anymore!
 
Hey! i visited your page on myspace and I just HAVE to say - you´re soooo beautiful! :) I´d kill to have hair like yours! :D

Oh gosh, thanks! And I'm seriously considering cutting it. :) I just haven't decided what cut yet. It's been growing for about 2 years when I had it cut up to my chin. It's hard to cut it off, but I feel so much more chic when when I have an actual hairstyle and not just a mane of limp hair. :)

Hey! I had sch a horrible night - I was up until 4 am and DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS NOT TO EAT LATE AT NIGHT FOR 5 HOURS???? I finally fell asleep and then was back up at 7. Woo hoo. :eek:

Now we're great - I'm having a small smoothie - 175 and a egg beaters omelet with chicken, cheese and salsa. I havn't caculated the omelet cals yet, but I don't think it's over 200. I'm trying to get more of my cals in the morning to avoid late night eating that I think I can justify because it fits in my daily cals. :)

Doing pretty well - had a package of south beach wheat crackers 100, sting cheese 60 and yogurt 80 for lunch, and an apple 50 and more string cheese 60 for a snack.

I'm working on only my 2nd bottle of water... I had 5 yesterday (yay!) and so I've got a ways to go to catch up.

I've had urges to just let it all go for a day and splurge on pizza tonight, but I've only been at this two days. I can do it. I told myself I'll give myself one cheat at the end of a successful week. Only four more days!!

Ah, what a good feeling to end the day knowing there were so MANY potholes you could have fallen into, but you didn't!!

I was shopping on an empty stomach (normally a cue to impulse buy any snack thing in sight) my husband made pancakes for dinner(!) and I ate my lean cuisine instead!! (Woo hoo!) I wasn't doing well on my water, but I got it all in and then some! Plus, I was walking all over walmart and pushing a heavy cart for 2 straight hours!! Talk about a workout. :)

My totals are right about at 1150 but I haven't made my last entry in fitday... and I still might have that WW english toffee ice cream bar that I've been eyeing all day! Hey, I deserve a reward, I think! :)

Holy hunnies, ice cream is my downfall! Theres one particular kind that I have GOT to avoid, or I eat the whole thing :eek: Now when I do my grocery shopping, the one "cheater food" I allow myself to get is dark chocolate...but not a lot at once, or, ya- you get the point, I eat the whole thing, lol. So I get one dark chocolate bar, which has good antioxidants and still makes me happy haha..

Thanks Star! I'm not allowing myself to stay up that tonight. I was in bed already, but the absence of my hubby sent me in search of him. :)

Jess, the ONLY reason I even consider having that bar is because I get the weight watchers ones... 110 cals... it's one of my must have diet foods. I can't deny myself everything, so I make it fit. even with the ice cream, I'm still under 1250 for the day, so I'm stoked. :)

Having a great day today - been on a housework frenzy so I've probably burned off a lot of cals! :)

Breakfast: 3/4 c total with a banana and 1/2 skim milk - 140

Snack: string cheese - 60 and 1/2 c. cantaloupe pieces - 30

I've had about 16 oz of water so far... and had my weightsmart multiviamin and 1 fiber supplement... the vitamin made my soooo nauseous... I know better than to take it on an empty stomach, but I was busy cleaning and didn't think about it much until my stomach lurched and I almost lost my breakfast! :) I had the cheese and cantaloupe really fast and that helped a lot.

Ok, more cleaning to do! See ya!

Hey there be_gone_soon -- thanks for stopping by! My diary seems to get passed up a lot because I post in the morning or late at night and it's rarely on the first page. :) Ah well.

For lunch I had the BEST ever wrap-- I used a mission carb control tortilla, the sweet and sour tuna (the expensive stuff :p), lots of spinach and greens, some cheese and a tsp of miracle whip. And this is going to sound so strange, but I had some cantaloupe on my plate and the juice got all over the wrap.. it was SUCH a great flavor combination! I don't know what it was but I loved it! The wrap was soooo filling I saved my cantaloupe and pretzels as a snack for later. It always amazes me that even when I'm on 1200 a day, I'm never hungry because I'm making such healthy food choices!

For dinner I made baked tilapia with garlic butter, rice made with chicken broth and steamed broccoli. It was a little bland but low calories! :)

And I finished today in high spirits as I was FORCED to have a weight watchers key lime pie treat!! Seriously, I was only in the 900's after dinner, so I had the yummy dessert and a glass of skim milk. MMMmmmmm! :)

My total for the day was 1150 - Yay! I'm in the weigh every day club, so I'm looking forward to stepping on the scale tomorrow and reporting my findings!
