I am joining this forum after checking it out a few days. I think maybe some support might help in weight loss. I've always been up and down in my weight. I lost some weight 2 years ago (about 20 lbs), but gained it all back in the last 4 months. I'm trying to loose again but having a rough time. I have a huge problem with portion control. I eat pretty healthy most of time but I overindulge a too often. I need to get back on track!
On a good note I finally quit smoking after about 15 years on and off. I want to be done for good!

great for quitting smoking. i was smoking for a long time, two packs a day and then quit...now i'm a non smoker for the last 4 and a half years. and it feels really good.

portion control is a big problem for many of us here. i try and keep it under control by writing it down and measuring the weight of the food. and that helps.

so maybe if you tried writing down your food in a food diary it would probably help. and remember every bite counts. when i first put my food on paper (with complete honesty) i almost cried. i couldn't believe i was taking in so much. so i continued and for most parts writing down food and being on here keeps me on track :D

I too have problems with portion control, and I definitely struggle with losing and re-gaining. Tracking calories and being mindful about food choices definitely works, so best wishes to you!
