New and snoopy

Hi folks,
I'm new here and hope this forum will help me in getting back to my old shape!
I'm 43 years old now and got a little overweight in the past years during my marriage. I guess my wife fed me too good. Yes, she really did! Of course the stress of splitting up had his portion too.... well, anyway,... I really wanna lose weight and I'm willing to do a lot to reach this goal! I wanna make this attempt a successful one. Currently I exercise like every day, I do some nordic walking and aqua gymnastics. It's hard for me to change my nutrition. Especially Mountain Dew is a favorite of mine... but I try to get rid of it!
Okay, that's all for the moment... I hope you can help me in reaching my goals.

Do spend some time reading the stickied threads around the forum... you'll gain lots of valuable information...

Sodas arent the greatest thing in the world for you - water is surely better.. but everything in moderation works for long term success...no reason to cut them completely out of your day -but enjoy one maybe and fit it into your calories for the day.

Thanks for your warm welcome! I guess it really might be a good idea to start kind of a diary. Actually I'm reading the stickies for hours now.
concerning the sodas... well, I'll try to cut them completely out. I know I'll get recidivous but it's easier for me to say " no dew at all" than "well, I may have one a day...". You know what I mean?
