New (Again)

I joined this site back in August, posted a few things, and then was unable to continue due to lack of internet at home. But, we have it back now, and I am wanting to give this another go!


While I would love to say that since then I have lost a bunch of weight, sadly I can't. I HAVE started yoga. Twice per week, and this is my fourth week. I actually love it a lot. It's a free class that my office building offers during lunch, so I don't know how advanced it is, but it definitely gets my muscles working and my forehead breaking a sweat, so that's a start! In fact, I love the natural high after the class so much that it has really amped me up to want to get serious about working out.


We just moved, and finally set up our treadmill downstairs. I have also been thinking about joining a kickboxing:boxing: class. I my goal is to work out 4-5 days a week (yoga two, kick boxing one, and the gym or a dance class the other two), getting as well-rounded a work out as I can. I have also started not keeping soda in the house at all, upping my water intake, and cutting way back on my portion sizes. This weekend we are going grocery shopping, and I am excited to stock up on some healthy alternatives to the high-cal things I eat now.


Anyway, I am so happy to be back on the site, and I hope that this time around I can really kick it into gear. Any help, thoughts, feedback, etc. is always appreciated!!!
 
Hey! Looks like your on to a great start! I think it's great you are trying to keep your workouts well rounded and different everyday. I started kickboxing about 4 weeks ago and I fell in love with it! Now I just love going to the class and letting it all out and sweating my butt off. :) It's nice having a treadmill at home, too... We have an elliptical and it really gives me the extra push to do a workout when it's cold out and I do want to drive to the gym. ;)
