New 1

Hello hello

I'm 24, 6'2 and 235

I was 250 this winter and then I got mad @ myself and started riding a bike.

I used to play basketball all the time, and now I want to get back in shape. I'm 235 at the moment, and since its easter now, after these easter holidays are over, this tuesday, I'm going to the gym.

I'm planning on driving a bike to the gym, it's 10 miles away, I hope I'll pull it off.

I will be on forums to find advices and to post my progress. May I ask is there some kind of journal forum here, I can't find it now?

Bye bye :driving:

Hellloo :) I'm new tooo :D God 10 miles you wont need to be going to the gym :O at that rate. Good luck and well done for the weight you have already lost :)

hello and welcome :)

i also like cycling.. great way to lose weight, if it'd warm up around here. i'm not a big fan of riding a bike when it's freezing out.

congrats on your weight loss so far though!

Hi Tom.

I think that riding the bike would be better for you! ;)

I'm a keen cyclist, so I say - keep it up!

By the way - I've found from experience that it takes me about 100 miles of hard cycling to shed a pound of weight, so if you ride to the gym and back 5 times, there's 1 pound gone - provided you don't eat extra to fuel you. Obviously, if you take on extra calories, you would have to ride further to lose that pound.
