Never tried this before!

Hey everyone. For a few years my weight has been climbing up. I'm roughly 5ft 10 and weight about 15 st (210 lbs).

I think i can loose weight, but i've never tried. My biggest obstacle wouldn't be summoning will power etc. it would be in the little details; some i need help with!

Because i've never done this before, i can't think what to buy in the way of food at the supermarket?! I usually buy frozen meat (like chicken, turkey) and some fish, and usually chips. My main meal of the day is straight from the freezer, and is always frozen processed meat and chips.

I've been like this for years, and now i want to eat healthy i don't know what to buy when i go shopping! I need stuff that will fill me up, will be healthy and won't break the bank!

ANy suggestions?
 
First you need to change your mindset. The words I think I can loose weight need to translate into I KNOW I CAN!!

Doubting yourself is not going to get you very fair.

If you want to know what to buy, read the nutritional section for some really good post. Remember, veggies, fruits, and healthy protien is best. Chicken, lean meats, fish are always good along with egg whites for protien.

Fruits and veggies should be a BIG part of your day as well as the protien and add in some good fats. GOOD LUCK ... really dig deep into why you want to change.
 
Welcome aboard! Don't think you can lose weight...KNOW you can! You can definitely do it you just need to find the right plan for you and stick to it. Set your goals and gradually start building yourself toward them and you can't go wrong! We are here for support!
 
Hi there Magic, you will be amazed at how good all of those new exciting food groups are going to taste. Just a suggestion, if you are not sure how much you should be eating or what foods to eat, you can access the Canada or American food guide on line to give you an idea or guide line. Understanding basic nutrition is such a huge help, along with a cookbook *not fad diet book* lol, on healthy eating. (even looking up online healthy recipes has been a great help to me) Just suggestions,.... I am looking forward to seeing your success! Michelle :)
