My name is Krista and I'm almost 21 years old. I weigh 126 give or take depending on the day, and I am 5'2". I've never been considered overweight, but I'm definitely not thin. I have curves, but my goal is to keep them in their proper place and get rid of what is unnecessary. I'm not physically fit and I never have been, nor have I ever done any routine exercise or workout. I am going to an equine trade school in November, and I would like to trim up and get at least in a little better shape so I can be prepared.
My legs could afford to be a bit smaller, but I'm not all that concerned about them. I would like to trim up my abdominal area and my arms the most. My arms are what bother me more than anything. I have very little upper body strength and my arms are the only part of me that don't seem to fit the rest of my body. I am soft and pudgy everywhere, but more so in my arms and I really don't like it.
Even though I don't have a problem with the look of my legs, I know I need to strengthen my thighs as well as my glutes and abs to help me prepare for riding everyday come November.
I don't know what sort of routine I should start or what kind of exercises I should do. I bought a Power 90 DVD a while ago and did the cardio one I think it was. It was hard, very hard, but I could do it. Then I tried their fat burning disc not long ago and I find my muscles were having a lot of difficulty. My legs got so weak after I was done that I couldn't catch myself when my knee gave out(it does that sometimes). A friend tells me those programs are way too much for my level of fitness, especially considering they're meant to be done every day.
So any advice would be greatly appreciated.
