Slow and steady! Just focus on eating less, exercising more and making long-term sustainable changes to have a healthier lifestyle. There's no magic answers, just a matter of figuring out what your roadblocks are (late night snacking, emotional eating, or whatever they may be for you) and overcoming them. Best of luck!!

Thanks Guys.....well ive been doing 4 small meals, taking in 1200 alories and im doing one hour of cardio and half an hour of weights!! i feel better and w more energy!! :) ;)

That's great nena, weight training is VERY important for losing fat. Growing those muscles will increase your basal metabolic rate. Small frequent meals are great too (try to get in at least 5 meals per day) - don't restrict your calories to the extent that you're always hungry, because the biggest reason people fail is a lack of consistency in a diet/exercise plan, and it's very hard to be consistent with a diet plan that leaves you feeling hungry all day.

One thing I'd add is setting clear goals for yourself and taking the time to think of why you want to lose weight. I advise you sit down, get a pen and some paper and write these things down (list the reasons - I for example want to feel proud of my physique and be confident that I look good in anything I choose to wear, and we all have superficial reasons such as wanting to look good at the beach), what it would feel like to have lost all that weight and achieved the body you want (a sense of freedom, pride, satisfaction for example).

Feel free to PM or email me if you want more advice :p

Wishing you all the best. I know you'll make yourself and all of us proud :)

HI Nena - welcome to the site. I am also new here (day 2) and everyone has been soooo helpful.

I agree with the previous poster - :) I would also suggest starting a journal on here. Keep it updated with daily thoughts, struggles, and measurements. Measurements can sure be motivators to you when seeing them in person.

You can do this. You have to just be WANT to change more than you want to stay the same. I wish you much luck! :)
