Needing help!

Hi all, I'm new but I'm not new to the gym business but I need some help.

Basically right now I'm at the worst weight I've ever been in my life and my clothes are getting tighter. I am about 5'8" weighing in at 200 lbs give or take. I used to go to the gym all the time and stood at about 170. I have a larger muscle mass than average for my age and height but I still do have fat I definitely should and want to lose. Everytime I sign up for the gym in recent years I lose motivation quickly and I'm guessing I just need a swift kick in the rear constantly to keep me going.

Today I vow to all of you and my family that I'm going to start eating healthier and exercising regularly in hopes of getting my dream body back, but I would like some tips from regulars. I'm hispanic and while at home for the summer my dad usually cooks a lot of rice and meats hard to resist because its so good! What are some alternative foods I should pick up at the store ( on a budget), what exercises can I do when I strapped for time and can't go to the gym? What should my routine look like for weight loss strictly?

Thank you for your time and comments if you leave any!

AWelcome!! Why are you losing motivation? What's standing in the way of your goals? I am also wondering how old you are. As far as eating healthier most countries have a food guide that they recommend people follow. That is generally a good starting point. As far as exercise goes. Anything that you like and will keep doing are your best bets. For me, I have found that working out with a trainer nor knowledgeable friend is a good way to stay motivated. Also training for an event like a race or a competition works well because you HAVE to train. Give us some updates!!
