Hello,
Back story and info
I am a 30 year old male trying to lose weight
I used to take Ritalin, Side affect of this is loss of appetite.
Along with the adhd I suffer from Low Blood Suger
Since being off the meds i gained weight rapidly. My highest weight was 297
I recently changed jobs and have been able to be alot more active and have lost some weight
I am currently at 266 My main goal is to lose the belly,
I am currently only calorie counting.

Questions

I have no idea what to eat. I have tried a little bit of everything and feel like i am constantly getting sick to my stomach, which is not fun
I have tried to remain active ( bicycling - easier on the knees)
I feel tired and weak and with trying to eat alot less i keep getting light headed and see stars

What do i eat that is healthy and will keep me losing weight but that will fuel the calories im burning on my workouts I am trying to stay natural. by that i mean no protein powder or all that extra crap people buy.

What else can I do to keep losing the weight
I lost alot of weight in a short period of time and feel like i plateaued.

Lots of info thanks for reading and
thank you thank you in advance for any advice.

Nick

You may know some of this, but I'll say it anyway:
- Losing weight is mainly about being in a caloric deficit ... burning more calories than you are eating.
- calorie burner is your muscle. more muscle = more calories burned. So, the gym is your friend, not just cardio
- if you are constantly fatigued and having a constant upset stomach, try eliminating wheat for a bit. You could have a sensitivity. I'm celiac and those are the symptoms that I experienced before I knew
- if you ignore the above, try to keep the carbohydrates, other than from fruits & vegetables to a minimum ... basically only eating carbs that have nutritional value.
- drink lots of water. Water has so many benefits, so all those aside, they also curb hunger

The best healthy foods to fuel your body and help you lose weight at the same time are fresh vegetables/fruit, nuts/seeds, whole grains and fresh meat. Stay away from processed carbs (white bread and other baked goods that just say they're made of 'wheat flour' which means processed white flour) and processed sugar (store-bought cookies and other sweet baked goods). If you can add a green smoothie (ex. spinach leaves with any fruit + a good source of protein/fat such as hemp seeds or any other seed), then it'll both boost your nutrition and kickstart your metabolism. A good example of a healthy day's food would be: breakfast - huge green smoothie or oatmeal with nuts/raisins, lunch - 100% whole grain bread sandwich of leftovers from dinner, and dinner - whole grain such as brown rice, quinoa, millet, barley, etc. with freshly cooked meat and a side of any veggies/salad you want. If you need snack throughout the day, nuts+fruit are your best best, they're healthy and keep you full/energetic! Hope that helps :)

I am also having trouble losing weight. I'm sure it's from inactivity. I am 56 and have gained about 20-30 pounds since my condition started. I can no longer walk or get around without a wheelchair. I do get an OT twice in a week and also a PT. But I cannot even walk with a walker. Things are just getting progressively worse. But I'd love to lose those 20-30 pounds. I have tried Advocare, low carb, and weight watchers, which I think was the best. But I can no longer get on their scale. They do have some locations that have a wheelchair scale but none very close to me.
