Need to lose weight

Hey I am new here,
I am 27 years old and I am trying to lose 25 pounds before July. I am not sure if this is possible but I would like to at least try to loose some of it. I am now 160 pounds and would like to get down to 135.
However, my energy levels have been really low lately and I don't know what to do. I've been following my usual routine. I have a normal sleep schedule, I'm eating correctly, working out 4 times a week and keeping hydrated, but I'm still feeling really down. My friends had suggested to try to drink more water, mix up my workout routine and also xenadrine nrg which seems tempting to try. I'm not sure exactly what to do so if someone can offer any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Why don't you try taking a daily multi-vitamin. That might help. If not a trip to the doctors might help. Hope you get peppy soon :)

How tall are you? If you were significantly overweight it would be a lot easier to lose a bunch of weight in two months (since sustaining a large body mass takes a lot more calories so you have more room to reduce your intake), but if your target weight is 135, it's gonna be tough.

Reducing your caloric intake to 500 cal under the amount of calories you burn each day will reduce your weight by about 1 pound a week - 1000 cal less is two pounds a week. (check to get all sorts of nifty info on your basal metobolic rate and recommended in take).

You would really have to amp up the exercise and cut the food to lose 25 lbs in 8 weeks (1500 calories a day under is a lot) and I fear that it is not something you will be able to do safely (and correctly so that you can keep the weight off).

you can calculate how many calories you lose during your daily activities on fitday. It's really easy to lose 1500 calories a day.

I don't think I ever used the exercise part of fitday...I've only used it to log food because I have another site to do my exercise for me...but I'll have to do that! Thanks!

Hey thanks everyone for your help and advice.

Red- I am only 5 foot 3 inches tall and I consume about 1200 calories a day. Im a little skeptical on lowering my calorie intake anymore.

However, I did decide to take the xenadrine NRG and it is actually working. I have all this energy and excitement and I am pumped. I went to their website and I am receiving another free pack , . I am almost positive that I will lose the weight that I want!!!

Hi JennFank and everyone else!
I'm on the same boat as you Jenn. I'd like to get to that weight by June. I'm currently 155 lbs, 5'2", age 28, goal 135 lbs by June 4th. So that 20 lbs to lose. I'm doing well....not losing it quickly but I started off at 160 lbs around beginning of March so that's 5 lbs in a month...not very fast but i guess it's steady...i have a tonne of energy but i want to lose it a bit faster...At this rate i'm not going to reach my goal!

For energy I just make sure i get enuff sleep and eat 6 times a day (3 meals 3 snacks) and i eat my carbs early during the day..i think about 3 times a week i eat carbs for dinner too. I know i don't drink enough water (so i'll start). I TRY to make my portions no bigger than my fist and I NEVER OVER EAT! ---one of my friends ate every 2 hrs no bigger than his fist, apparently its a runner's diet and he lost sooo much weight.

So let please let me know what kind of progress you've had since you first posted. I want to stay away from gimmick pills, but if that's what's helping you please let me know.

If anyone else has anytips to lose 20 lbs in 9 weeks PLEEEEAASSEE HELP! i guess max i should lose 18 lbs.

I'm burning more than 3000 calories per day, lol so its possible. Well I also have a pretty fast metabolism too so that helps lol. And if you eat very "cleanly" 2000 calories would be good. I have recently changed my views on calorie deficits, they should be no less than like 1700. If you working out and all of that fun stuff ,weight lifting has to be included by the way. Then 1700 should be the minimum, it will preserve your muscles so you dont become a "skinny fat", and who wants that?

hmmm that sound reasonable...1700 cal... but how are you burning 3000/day....isn't that crazy? not sure how much i burn daily....i thought about 2000.... maybe someone can tell me....
30 mins interval training 3-4 times a week...
+ 2 body parts of weight lifting (3 excersizes for each part 3sets of 12-15 reps) i'm trying to only give myself 30 sec rest in between. i do the weights almost everyday for 4-5 days then rest. My job is sedetary but i walk maybe 1hr a day in total from the subway. I dunno how many calories that is ball park...but when i try to do one of those calculators i think it comes up 1800-2100. If you can tell me how to burn 3000/day tell me ur secret!!! :)

You burn calories no matter what your doing, sleeping even lol. I am on a 4000 calorie diet right now because I'm bodybuilding, just starting so not big yet, I have to eat excess calories to build muscle. Your program looks good girl smiley, what sort of split are you using though, and you better be doing squats too! I have a pretty fast metabolism so that helps with burning 3000 calories per day lol. I'm not sure how much you weight girl smiley but I'm about 190 right now, so that also has to do with the amount of calories needed.

Hey Girl Smiley!
Xenadrine NRG has been working great. I already lost 15 pounds and I have been taking it for a little less than one month. I love this stuff. It makes me feel great. I have all this energy to go to the gym and do all these healthy activities, especially since its so nice outside. I am amazed at how well this is working. When I first posted I thought it was impossible to lose all the weight that I wanted and I thought that it was unrealistic, but now that I am losing weight, my goal weight seems more and more possible to reach maybe even before July comes which would be great!! I am feeling better than ever and I even look great!!

I think I have the answer

:) Have you ever heard of Isagenix? I have just started it, but I know people that are using it and are loosing weight quickly, but more importantly, safely. They have lots of energy too! I just started the program today, I will let you all know how it works for me. :)

Hi - I'm new to the group too...and our weights & amounts to lose are about the same. Sometimes medications that you might be taking will keep the weight on. Another thing I've heard is to make sure you're breathing more deeply than usual - make a point to do some really deep breathing, filling your lungs as far as you can, and letting it out slowly but completely - from what I hear, it's good for your brain + it gets your metabolism going. Other than that...maybe I'll get re-inspired to get losing that weight that I need to - I'm over 50, so it's definitely harder to do as you get older!

girl_smiley, I`m a bout your size.. I was.... once, now I`m 135 lbs... I`m still trying to loose a couple of pounds. I got there with the help of hoodia.
Everything you need to know about hoodia is there:

Way to go, Jenn! I've been using HerbaLean for over two weeks now, and it has helped tremendously. It has low-dose ephedra and is an extended release formula, so it curbs my appetite most of the day. (yahoo!)
I didn't have a whole lot of weight to lose and I've lost 6 1/2 lbs. This has been amazing for me.
If anyone wants to know: I went to myherbalean.com/ntexas.
