Need to lose my weight for wedding...MALE VERSION

My story is the same as the majority here. About 2 years ago, I started losing weight and being healthier I guess just because. I was doing two a days at the gym, I was on a roll. I did this for about 5 months and went from 225 down to 180. I ended up going to switzerland with my now fiance and we had a weeks break of free time and really tasty food, cheese, pasta, and choclate. After getting back everything kind of slumped off. I now go to the gym about 2 times a week, just for exercise, but am back up to 225. I do not eat healthy as I should, but I HAVE made some changes. Two weeks ago for film class I saw the movie Food inc, and earthlings, and started shopping at whole foods. That does not necessarily change anything except now its just organic, but the same calories. I feel better buying organic, especially after watching those films.

I came here because I want to change, I need some drive, some motivation. I need to hear from people who are in the same boat as me. I always promote exercise and I am in shape, just not fit. I promote exercise, healthy eating, and I am in my first semester of nursing school, so my background in Anatomy and Psyiology is very strong. I am eventually going for a Masters in Public Health. I just want to walk the walk after I talk the talk.

I eventually want to be about 150-160, as I am about 5'6" and should be right around there. I have been down to 180 before, so I know it can be done. I need a routine, I need to plan something out. I love to ride bikes, like to run a little bit, but not too much, and am really fascinated with the tricep muscle. I know that alst part sounds weird, but it is one of my favorite muscles in the body, and I know the majority of them. I want to be a healthy, fit person. This is just an acclamation to my success.

Heres some pics of my fiance and I around my heaviest. In high school I was about 155-170. I would like to be back down at that weight. I NEED DRIVE AND MOTIVATION!

Good luck and I hope you find the motivation and support that you're looking for!

AHey we're at the same weight ^^.

Anyway, it sounds like we have similar stories. I was once down to 160lb, then I ended up gaining it all back and then some. I'm now fighting tooth and nail to get back down to 160, and then go from there to 130--140.

When's the wedding :)?

Do you have any plans for your meals? For me, counting calories has been working. I'm also trying to exercise 4x a week at Curves. I walk a lot (can't drive) so that helps too.

You should make a journal to keep track of your progress ^^ tons of us have one. This site has given me so much motivation and support.

Good luck!
