Need to lose 15 pounds by the end of Dec.!

Hi, I am wondering if it's possible to lose 15 lbs by the end of December because my boyfriend and I are going to Hawaii... I am 5'4", 19 years old and around 130 lbs. I just want to slim down for a swim suit, I have gained some weight in the past year, and my frame is naturally small.

What could I do to achieve this? And is 15lbs too much weight to lose in the amount of time I have?

Not if you just cut off your arm :D

Seriously, you've only given yourself 11 weeks. But it's definitely doable. You might want to try an anabolic diet. Considered strict, but you'll definitely lose the fat.

I have eaten a modified anabolic diet for many years and it hasn't killed me yet ;)

About 1 lbs/week should be doable in theory, but definitely not easy, and definitely not right away. That starts happening after a few weeks of doing things the right way, once you put your body in a 'fat burning mode'... You will need a very specific nutrition plan and a very specific workout schedule (and your dedication to them), and nobody here can do this for you, as it requires a lot of information and your active participation. For this you'd have to hit your gym, and start talkin' to nutritionists and personal trainers (pretty sure this won't be cheap considering you may have to be with one 3-4 times/week).

Cutting your arm off will help for sure. Another way to do this is to dehydrate yourself before you go (it is what body builders do before competitions), but this can't last for too long for the obvious reasons (you'll want to see Hawaii as well, not just your room). There are pills, which I wouldn't recommend. Bottom line is, whatever quick fix you can come up with, it will backfire with you gaining more weight when you're off the "program".

You can put yourself on a healthy program now (balanced workout and food), and whatever happens by December happens (you will lose some fat, but probably not the 15 lbs u want), and go for having a kick-ass body for next summer (or even spring break).

I feel maybe to acheive this would be too hard on yourself, you need to loose weight at a slow pace then you find it easier to maintain. If you loose the weight too fast it will just pile straight back on once you start to eat normal etc. again.
