Hi everyone, I am male, aged 32 and need to loose about 43lbs to get me back to 185lbs. I am 6ft 2 and weigh 228lbs.
I am still pretty fit and can still run 3 miles in under 25 mins.
My main problem is keeping focus and I have a very sweet tooth, if i open a box of chocolates I will finish them, i can't put them away...
Any tips to keep me focused?
I have a 6.30 AM Gym call tomorrow morning. (First time i've been in a gym in about 2 years)
Anyone who has any tips on excercise, motivation and diet I would be real greatful...

My advice is that if you can't stop ... don't start. :)

Everyone has trigger foods that they lack control to one degree or another. For me, it's potato chips. If I open a bag, I won't stop with one serving, so I simply don't eat them. If I do, I buy a single serving bag and that way I have no choice but to stop.

As far as other tips:

REgister for a free account at fitday.com or thedailyplate.com to track your calories and nutrients. For a lot of people, just seeing what they eat every day makes a difference in helping them figure out where to cut back and how to adjust so they are eating nutritious foods.

Also check out the sticky posts in the exercise forums. There are several of them with lots of good information to get you started on an exercise program!
