Need some Modivation

I need something to modivate me to get back up the strength to start running again i just recently stopped running a month ago and i gained back like 10 pounds...i weigh 146 right now...and i went the doctor today for a check up and they told me im overweight for my heigth ( 5'2) i should weigh 125 and i got really upset..someone please help? :(
 
I hate the guide they use. I've been "overweight" forever.

I'm a new runner but seasoned walker, and I know what it's like to fall off the wagon. I start small, like distances I did when I first started. It reminds me that I can do much better and soon I'm back to where I was when I quit. Do you have a running buddy or anyone to motivate you? How about a new park or someplace you've been meaning to check out where you can run. Do it for the dog ( if you have one). May be change your routine, from mornings to evenings, or vice versa. Buy new shoes as an incentive. And my all time favorite, get into another activity and realize how much you miss the one you were already good at and go back to it.

These are some of my tricks. Hope they help.
 
you need to help yourself manderus, you already know from your past threads what you need to do. if you really want to lose weight get out there and do it - eat a clean diet and exercise regularily. toss the restaurant food, fast food, snacks and eat clean. until you do this you're going to be in the same situation.
 
Did the Dr. measure your bone size (via the elbow, wrist or ankle)? If not, that number is bogus. Everyone is different.

But, I can tell you that 140+ is outside the healthy range of even the bigger boned women at 5'2".

Just start running again. It is that easy. Don't mill around being "bummed-out." Do something about it.

i wasnt gonna just sit around n be bummed thats not me...i walked 3 miles today because i cant run yet i hurt my leg the other day n its in bad shape
 
well thats great that you walked :) dont push yourself to hard if your leg is bothering though take it easy if you have to.... dont want an inury to cause you set backs again :)
 
0hh no this time nothing will set me back...by the time school starts again im gonna weigh 125 no matter what im gonna do it the healthy way too....

can broken tailbone's set u back??

Theres a reason some of the vets haven't touched this thread, and shim already touched on it.

She knows what she needs to do, she either can't do it or doesn't want it bad enough.
 
i know what i need to do ur correct in every way but once i keep up n start walking and running again once i dont see any results im not gonna wanna do it anymore thats where i need the modivation im talking about...u make me sound like idk but u make me sound like im a stupid kid or something im sorry im not smart
 
No, I didn't make you sound stupid, I said that your questions have been answered time and time again, you have had all the help we can give you, and you still fall short on your goals. Its time you rethink what your doing and assessing how bad you really want to be slimmer.

You have the information you need, we can't motivate you. You HAVE to motivate YOURSELF. We can tell you whatever you want to hear, but ultimately it has to come down to you.

btw, news flash. If you gained 10 lbs in a month after you stopped running, then you really really need to look at either your diet, or see a doctor. In order to gain 3 lbs every 10 days you have to be over your calorie intake limit 10,500 every 10 days. I didn't do much exercise during 6 weeks of baseball and ate very unhealthily and gained 6, and I'm 14 years older than you. You need to be honest with yourself and eat like you know you need to.

If you think i'm belittling you or preaching to you I apologize. We want to help you, we've tried to help you, we don't know how to get through to you.

Eat 1700 calories a day, weight train 2-3 days a week, do cardio (not just running) 4-5 days a week for at least 30 minutes. This works, if you do it. The ball's in your court, its your decision if you choose to play it or not.

I eat 1400 Calories a Day...I cant weight train and i cant run right yet...all i can do is power walk n do push ups n sit ups and i do that 5-6 days a week
