Need Some Advice

Alright FitnessForum, I'm a total beginner to pretty much all things fitness. I've read countless articles on many different areas of fitness, but reading articles isn't all that helpful. I'm a pretty out of shape guy that wants to get into shape. I am fully motivated to do this, I just dont know what to do! I have a small muscle mass but i dont mind that too much. Im also pretty chubby. I really just wanna drop all this fat and build some more muscle along the way, but the main concern is losing the fat. I have no idea what excercises to do, how long to do them, how many reps or any of that. Can anyone help out?
 
What facilities do you have access to?
Ideally good to know a bit more about you to. Health, mobility issues, things you enjoy, hate etc.
I could write you a full program of stuff you can't do or would hate which would ensure you tried fitness, loathed it and never did it again. Not a good plan, so some guidance would be good.
 
More information is important. You obviously wouldn't tell someone who's had major back surgery to do dead lifts. Your age and any health issues are important to know for stuff like this

Don't get caught up in the fads. All the P90X's and Insanities. Get on a program in which you can track gains and stay in a routine. Don't think that you need to jog or do cardio 5 days a week to lose weight either. You can never step foot on a treadmill or elliptical and look and feel great. Now, if you're looking for heart health, then by all means, but people that think they are going to jog the fat away are fooling themselves. Weight training is a necessity.
 
As they've said above - a bit more information on what you think you would like to do. You don't need to spend silly money on the fad DVD's, diet plans etc. With the experience on this forum I'm sure we can all pitch in and come up with something that's sensible, suitable and fun for you to do.
 
You should do some exercises like jogging or if your do not want to jog outside just buy treadmill. But I prefer to jog outside our house every morning. It will help you lose weight and tone up your thigh and legs. If you want you should enroll to a yoga class it will help you to lose weight also.
