Need motivation to stick with it!!

I need motivation to change the way I eat and to exercise. I started lifting weights about a month ago using a bowflex. I was lifting 3 days a week and then Thanksgiving happened. I traveled with my two children to my parents' house. They have no dvd player/vcr. I should have walked but I didn't. So one question is what are some good exercises to do when the weights are not available? I haven't lifted in over a week. Also, I need to change the way I eat. I am a wife, mother, and nursing student. I am busy but I know other people are as well. I get stressed easy so I comfort myself at times with food. What are some good alternatives? I want to get in shape for myself and my family. Sometimes I just feel overwhelmed. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)
