Need help!

Hello Everyone,

I am a 31 year old male, and for the majority of my life I have suffered from Exercise induced asthma. I am fine as long as I don't over exert myself. But I have gotten to a point in my life where I am sick of not being able to do a thing, like Hiking, and watching people on tv, running, Hiking, Jogging, Hell even walking long distances, and wishing I were in their shoes. With this condition I have gained a body that would make a rock run away! I need to get to where I can jog at least a mile, then walk and continue after i catch up. I also need some advice on what foods would benefit me, such as a set diet... I loved to eat, (past tense) but now i just don't care, I want to get back into shape, with cardio, exercise, and proper eating, and supplemental nutrition. I need to get back in shape, get my confidence, and self esteem back up, and any help would be greatly appreciated...

God bless.

I'd start with simply walking and strive to set personal records every time you do it. Consult a doctor about your breathing issues - you might just need an inhaler or some therapy. I have a sister with chronic asthma and she's able to keep it at bay and be physical most of the time.

+1 on talking with a physician. No one here can give you advice with your condition. The good news is, with a doc's help, you should be able to accomplish your goals.
