Need help!

I am a 19 year old female. I have never been the athletic type. Currently I weigh 140 pounds and I am 5'4. My goal isnt to lose weight I just want to slim down my thighs, flatten my stomach and tone my arms. I just recently joined a gym and have been doing 30 minutes on the tredmil and 15 min on the eliptical every day. What are some exercises I can do at the gym to help me reach my goal? I have never lifted weights and I have no idea what else to do at the gym. please help

I'm afraid that your question doesn't make too much sense. You DON'T want to lose weight but want to slim down, flatten and tone? Well that'll be hard to do if you have a layer of fat on any of those body parts.

It's great that you are doing 45 min of cardio every day which will def help. I'd start doing some full body strength training maybe 2 or 3 times a week to add some muscle and since muscle burns calories you'll start to see some results in those areas.
 
Oh no i didnt mean i dont want to lose weight, I am perfectly fine losing some weight I just dont think I have to lose weight. If I do lose weight I wont be complaining. :)
 
Don't be scared to lift some weight. It dosent mean you're going to become muscular, but by increasing your muscle reactions it allows your body to burn fat more efficiently. Look into a muscular endurance type program which is basically, light weight at a high number of sets and reps. That will really help you.
