Need Help!!!

Ok, Im 17 years old. 5'10 about 250. so im what you could say fat. im ready to get rid of all of this and i am committed to it right now. i wana lose it but then after i lose it i wana gain muscle. i have a gym membership that i am going to be renewing. I dont understand why i gain weight because i drink about a 1/2 gallon to a gallon of water everyday, its not like i sit on my butt and play video games or do nothing im always doing something. i guess its just because i have a slow metabolism i guess. what do you all suggest? suggestions will be appreciated greatly

Log what you eat and what you do for several days. Chances are, you are consuming many more calories than you are using.

The simple truth of it is that you are consuming more calories that your body requires, regardless whether you drink zero or 5 gallons of water a day.

A common mistake is underestimating the amount of calories in certain foods and drinks such as fruit, fruit juice, sodas etc. As suggested, keep a journal of EVERYTHING you eat and drink over a week period and come back to us. No doubt we will be able to see the problem and help with some ideas.
