I don't know how to calculate calories at all. I know I eat too much and want to bring my totals down.

For instance, tomorrow I will have a bowl of cereal, a banana, a salad composed of: romain lettuce (not sure how much), cuecumber (about an inch cut into thin slices), a quarter of a red bell pepper, some brocoli, chicken, a carrot and a bit of dressing: a nectarine, an apple, a yogurt pack, rice and curry. Curry will have brocoli, red bell peper, onion, celery, mushrooms and coconut milk. A bunch of water.

So is this too much food for a day? How in the world do I calculate the calories for this?

My ultimate goal is 1600-1800 a day.

Well, it looks good from here...but I can't really tell when you are eating what exactly. WHat I mean is, it is recommended you eat every 3 hrs to keep your metabolism up and running. So your going to want to snack on fruits and veggies every couple of hours.

Are you saying you dont' know how to add your calories...or how to find out what the calorie content is??

If adding is the problem, you can go to fitday.com and they keep track of what you eat and its cals there. And there are many places like calorieking.com or fitday.com that tell you what the calorie content of various foods are.

Hope that was some help!!

Both I guess. Im way out of my league here lol. I guess I'll just eyeball everything cause looking up individual ingrediants is tough.

Your calorie intake actually sounds like it's not enough!

Go to fitday.com and you can put in all of the food that you eat and it will help you keep track of how many calories you're consuming. It's what I use.

I was going to suggest the same thing.
