Need Help with Weight Loss

Okay, here's my story. As a lot of people who come to this forum, I struggle with being overweight. I won't say that I'm well known for eating healthy, but I have tried to step up the effort over the past few months.

I've tried eating less junk food. I tried spreading my food intake into more and smaller portions to try and speed up my metabolism and therefore make weight loss a lot easier. I've tried to implement more fruits and vegetables into my diet, ect. I go for a lot of walks just to try and maintain some excersise. But it just all seems in vein. I'm still overweight, and weight pretty much what I weighed when I started this whole thing.

So I'm looking online for some better ideas, and learning that most diets don't work. But everyone wants you to pay to use their great ideas or buy their book full of wonderful ideas. Now I'm also a college student, so I don't have any money. So investing it isn't option. Besides if I spent money on every potential great idea I've seen on the net, I'd be consumed in debt.

Anyways.. there was something that caught my eye, and mainly because I've heard of this method before. It's known as the Idiot Proof Diet. Basically it is supposed to shift calories and therefore burn fat. It sounds like an interesting theory, but they want you to PAY to use their Idiot Diet Generator. So just to find out what kind of diet you're supposed to have, they expect you to pay.

Does anyone have any information on this? Here's the url if you want to check it out:

Any tips and what not would be helpful in general. I will also say that I rarely have any energy at all, and am I always tired.

You don't necessarily have to pay anyone in order to get a good fat loss program. Before you even consider that stuff, look at how you've been working so far - do you know how many calories you're consuming? Do you know how many you should be consuming? Are you doing sufficient exercise to create a calorie deficit? Are you "zig zagging" your calories to prevent starvation mode?

I read this, and for a brief moment, it actually sounded more like Spam to me... I'm certainly hopeful it's not, and hope that you respond (Poweranimals) with your current goals, diet and exercise routine.

Hey, if I'm wrong, I'm the first to admit it - and we're all more than happy to help out! (WorldFitness.com is really more of a Family that way!)

:)

Ya I understand ... i wanted to try everything on the internet but couldn't afford it either ... reality is none of it really works anyways long term ... read around on this forum and you will get much more info than any diet info u could pay for on the net. I've been working out for 3+ months and eating healthy that whole time too and i havent really lost any weight but i look better (inches lost) and feel better so i'm sticking to it and trying to do more... u should just exercise more! If your in school right now you can use their gym, get to some cardio, or if not go walk around campus, walk to all your classes dont take the buses, etc ... college was the easiest time to get free workouts by just getting to class ... but i wentto UT which classe are like a 15 minute walk apart! anyways ... start using fit day and watch your calories you consume and burn and do more cardio i promise it will work and it wont cost you anything! you could also post your diet here and get people to help you build a better diet ... that helps ALOT! Who knew we needed things like protein in our diet ;)
