I used to use hand weights to try to tone up. Now I need to do something for osteopenia that has set in.
My list of strength training exercises disappeared when we moved.
Can someone point me in the right direction for a list of or pictures of good weight bearing exercises (is this the right term?).
I have 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 and 10 lb weights to work with. Of course I understand to start with the lightest possible(?).
I'd like an overall program -upper and lower body. Exercises I remember doing were for the triceps, biceps, chest and shoulders, also lunges and squats. I need to know how many reps/sets to start with.
Just one note: Because of a broken ankle last year, squats and lunges are difficult for me, but I guess with continued effort I may be able to bend more?Yes?
Thanks.
