need help on chest work out.

hi i am fairly new to working and and i think i am too skinny, i have been doing about 400 sit ups aday and gaining a 6 pack, but my chest is almost non-existant and you can kinda see my ribs, so is there any advice for me to hide the rib bones and anyone can gimme some tips on chest? i don't have any dumbells and currently doing push-ups

First off, you need to weight train properly. You need more than just a chest, you need a back, you need legs.

But to answer your specific question, your chest is a pusher. You can do several variations of pushups or weighted pushups (put books, or a back pack filled with something on your back, etc), but for more exercises than those, weight is needed.

My advice, pick up some dumbbells or a bench set, or join a gym. Then do a search on here for different workouts, pick one and jump in.

Some ribs will always be showing if you have a very low bf%, just because there is no muscle in that place to build.

I have the 3 ribs thing going on, like in 300 :)P), if you go higher, there's the chest, and to the bottom there are hip flexors or maybe obliques - I'm not sure on the exact positioning on the core muscles. But there in that specific place on your sides, there really isn't all that much on the front.

Pushups are great, I do a lot of pushups all the time, and I am usually very sore (like now), because I do a lot of pushups.

But dumbbells introduce many exercises like DB bench press, flies and pullovers which are great for the chest. And dumbbells don't cost very much.

ok thx for the tips i'll look to buy some dumbells, but the ribs are pretty visible on the side where its below my chest, and also just wondering do you have to be sore to have a good workout?

first off...if you dont want your ribs to show, EAT, DARN YOU(lol)!

second...why in the world would you have to be sore in order to have a good workout?
are you asking if soreness post workout indicates a proper workout?
no

i recommend you look around the stickies and learn about overall nutritional health and learn how to weight train.

he has ribs sticking out, so you give him ab isolation moves?

bud, start weight lifting with the "big compound movements", eat healthy, and forget all that girly ab isolation stuff.

squat
deadlift
chinup or pullup
bench press
bent over row
military press or dip

learn them, practice them, and embrace them :D

I'm not suggesting he should exclusively concentrate on them, and do nothing else.

Everyone should always have a compound FBW, and everything else goes on top of that - that's my theory methodology 8)
