Need help making effective exercise routine

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could give me some help making a workout routine as I am no expert!

I am 5 ft 3" and currently 147lbs. I want to lose about 28lbs through exercise as my diet is already pretty good.
I have upped my cardio to 2 hours a day but I feel that I could be doing more effective exercises in the same amount of time...

I'd really appreciate if any could give me some advice or at least point me in the right direction as I have 3-4 months in which to lose this weight!

Thanks :) x

Work hard but make sure you're working smarter instead of longer. Try doing sprint intervals because theyre great for fat burning. Also you should add weight training even if they're only 10pds to aid in the fat burning as well. Good luck with your goal!

do high intensity exercises. For instance sprint for 30 seconds on treadmill mill then jog 1min and continue or do this on a bike. This will greatly reduce your glycogen stores and then allow for your body to move into fat burn mode. Keep it up.

2 hours is an excessive amount of cardio and really unecessary.

I'd suggest you check out the sticky posts in the exercise area, and pay particular attention to ones written by Steve - the one titled "The Conceptual Side of Weightlifting" will be very helpful to you.

I will say this - diet and exercise go hand in hand and what you eat is far more key to losing weight than working out. Working out will help properly shape your body, and provide health benefits, but to really lose weight, it's all about what you eat.
