need help in eating much much better

i need to lose weight but have limited supplies.

a typical day for me is :

breakfast at 6:00- 6:45 am

while eating breakfast i have to get dressed for school and make the bus at 6:50 so i have to make something quick. somethings i eat are 3 eggs, a sandwich, or some cereal + a vitamin.

Lunch: 10:30

i have the early lunch at school and i am starving by this period even when i eat breakfast.
i normally would have the lunch of the day or a sandwich accompanied by a fruit, juice box or soda bottle, and some snack ( chips, cookies, muffins, ice cream (low fat)

After school: 3:00- 6:00

i stay almost everyday afterschool either working out or doing a club so i get a soda or powerade and then i eat bout 2 different fruits, 2 chips bags or a rice krispy treat.

Dinner: 7:00- 9:00

i have a complicated home environment so to keep it short i live with my stepdad who is very skinny. he rarely cooks so we either order pizza or chinese b/c my mom isnt at home to make food on the weekdays.

if we dont order we either warm up a few tv dinners, make mac & cheese, tuna fish (sick and tired of it), make some sandwiches or warm up some soup from the can.

i am not obese, i just have some pounds i can lose and i would be happy.

i know the main problem of my stomach is the junk food i eat.

i need to find a way to get healthier food.

we go to costcos and Bj's or other wholesale stores so we buy in bulk.

when we buy food we get fruit but i eat it pretty quickly during the 1st few days we have it.

i need to find ways to make better breakfasts, and have better dinners.

lately i have been limiting my junkfood at school but still can be lessened.

so can you ppl give me ideas of easy to make meals/ cheap (im not rich) and not requiring a lot of time b/c i am a student living by myself basically w/o my stepdad helping alot of the times.
 
Hello again. When I was 14 yrs. old which was 22 yrs.ago that is when I started to put on weight and didn't realize it until alot of my relative started telling me I was getting fat. At least you are aware of it which is great.
But at 16 I had put on a total of about 35 lbs. and then I got to where I wanted to do something about it. Didn't have access to computers and all the info out there at that time but what I did was kept everything normal
about my eating except for at night, no regular dinner but instead I ate a bowl of fiber cereal , not that nasty all fiber kind but then in 1986 I found a kind that I could stand, it still had a lot of sugar in it but hey all that fiber was great for a 16 yr old girl , It was fruit & fiber and yes the fruit was sugar coated but it was alot better than what I was getting.
 
Scroll through this topic and read about topic that sounds interesting. Thats what I have done, if I see...great recipe for quick snack, or whatever. You somehow need to eat two more times during the day. If you dont like eating the pizza or chinese, tell your stepdad. Get chicken breasts from BJ's, they are cheap and easy to cook.
 
why can't you get more fruit after you finish what you bought? or even buy some of the "fresh frozen" to make smoothies with.

cooking isn't hard and time-consuming. grilling or broiling fish is quick and easy. steaming veggies is easy. turkey sandwiches are easy. making a salad is easy.

Think of one dinner you would like to try making and do it. You'll be surprised how easy it was, and how much better it tastes than frozen dinners.
