need help building abs and arms!

Hello all, I'm completly new. I just joined like 5 minutes ago. I'm 15 yrs old 5'7 and weigh about 135 pounds. I'm not very fat but i do have some what of a gut on me right now. I wanted to know if anyone could give me tips on my diet and what routine workouts are best to define my stomach and arms a little more..also im in no rush...i know these things don't happen over night. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

diet should be made up of complete proteins, complex carbs and healthy fats. a good rule is 6 small meals a day roughly 3 hours apart. this would come out for most ppl 1 meal before work or school, 3 meals at work or school and 2 meals after. a meal doesnt have to be a full blown gourmet occasion. something as simple as a can of tuna and some walnuts would be fine. also something like a chicken breast with a sweet potato.

all junk foods should be eliminated. sodas, cookies, cakes, chips, candy, etc

concentrate on this list

its wise to plan meals out ahead so you dont get caught having to grab whatever you can. also to truely see your abs is more about losing the fat than what exercises you do. yes, do train them but if you cant see them :(

easy way to work your arms: chins and dips

and dont forget to train the rest of your body ;)

to get true results, you have to make this a lifestyle. put in the effort and you'll reap the rewards for years to come. :)

Sports
Martial Arts
and all sorts of classes will help you out.
for a 15 yr old your still growing up so its better if you start it of just toning your body rather than thinking of building it up as not to stunt your growth.

Whatever you pick be consistent with it and follow also the previous post for your diet =)

Thanks very much for the tips guys. Right now im on a 3 days a week workout with a friend and were both on a regular diet...his dad has some experience here and hes mentioned the amount of protein we need. I've actualy been doing this all for about 2 weeks already and iv seen a difference.

Thanks again,
Eric

...

im 15 aswell i dont trust the protein quota things because its average you should try one based on the amount of calories u eat its meant to be for teenagers that are active 25per cent of protein u need plenty of fat and carbs but healthy fats and starch not sugar try eating brown pasta and rice and bread etc and try eating fish preferably tuna in sunflower oil if u get tinned or if ure veggie beans on potatoes well u should know whats healthy protein
protien and carbs have 4cals per gram each and fat has 9

try doing three 20-30minute cardio sessions and three toning sessions and have 1 day off dont do too much lifting though cos u can stunt youre growth and damage youre muscles which will affect u badly and u wont beable to take part in some sports that u want to
also do stamina exercise because this can help u perform better in the exercises u do which will make u loose more well accordin to my coach
also dont drink alcohol it prevents ure muscles recoverin which means u might aswell not have done a workout in the firstplace

lol i wish i could help u more but im not very good at this im a newbie hopefully ill come away from this bein smart as hell lol

anyways speak to ya later love becca

why does everyone think that excersise stuns your growth? There is no proof for that, kids only got stunted growth in the past because of starving yourself for gymnastics or taking bad chemicals. I mean come on. My brother was lifting when he was 16 for his heart.. he actually grew.. and kept growing through highschool. Working your muscles doesnt stunt your growth, as a matter of fact if you do chins and stretch you will probably grown a cm or two.

Its not proven but it is known that lifting weights above you head could stunt growth

btw some people r very perinoid about growth... (i am not (im 15 and 6foot 3)
