so here's my story

I decided to lose weight after EASTER (April 22), i weighed 242 pounds then. My daily eating looks like this: in morning before school i dont eat nothing, just an apple on the road, i dont eat nothing in school, i come back at 3pm and have a 600 calorie dinner, eat some fruits after and then at 9pm i eat another 600 calorie food.So i can say i eat max 1500 calories daily and drink only water. I also do 5 sets of 30 pushups daily. Ive lost 32 pounds and now weigh 210 (in little over month lol). My goal is 180 till the end of summer. I read lots of stuff about low calorie diets and ppl had mixed opinions so i have a question:

Is my way of eating right and should I eat more than i do?

Hope to get some advice

Hello there, I agree it can get really confusing. I am a newbie so I can't share that much info, atleast yet. However I have been going with calculating my BMR I believe it's called, in other words I would burn around 3k calories daily if I just slept all day, then I have been deducting 500-1000 calories and that accounts for 1-2 a week, but it seems like you have been doing great! I have been doing push ups again but I am only at 5 a night, I know thats horrible but I am working on that. Take Care

Most will see some initial wt loss by eating like that, especially if you are overweight. However, looking at the long-run, you will also mess up your metabolism, and set yourself up for rebound wt gain (yikes).

You need to eat within an hour of waking, and eat every 3-4 hours. Each time you eat, get a protein/carb combo - like cottage cheese with that apple.

You're going great with the water, keep that up. :)

Also, remember the body isn't capable of burning 8 pounds of fat in every week - so you are losing some fat, some muscle (which is bad), and some water.

It's good you have found the will power and discipline to change your habits - be proud of that. Now, all you have to do is refine it some and you'll be on your way to permanent wt loss. (yay)
