Need Advice, Please

Hello everyone!
I'm looking for advice on how I can improve my mid-section. First off, I'm 37 years old, 5'11" and have been working out faithfully for almost a year now. I started off at 200lbs and have dropped over 40lbs and gone from a 36 waist to a size 30. So, overall I have made significant improvements. However, I still feel that I have a ways to go. I spend 3 days a week at the gym doing various weight training and cardio (run 16-18 miles per week) activities and 2-3 days at home doing Ab/core related training. My daily caloric intake is around 1800 (which I've been told is a little on the low side). My goal here is to have a more defined ab section (if genetics will allow it) by summer. Does anyone have any advice/suggestions on what more I can do? or is my goal really unrealistic?
