Need advice please?

So, I'm 18, female, about 5'5, 168lb, vegetarian and I don't have much protein at all! I really would like to lose about 14lb before the summer, more would be nice but whatever, I need a target. I've not started at the gym yet, but I'm planning on starting to go quite soon. My BMR is apparently 1606.7

yeah, so I just really really want to succeed at this, any advice or help would be really appreciated, thanks!
 
Fish, Cheese, Eggs, Beans and Nuts are probably your best bets for protein depending on how strict a vegetarian you are.

Thanks, don't eat fish but do so the rest albeit not enough. What do you think about protein supplements??
 
Protein supplements are ok if you're trying to build muscle or are post bypass surgery and have a limited stomach size, other than that you might as well get your protein from something tasty.

Oh... Egg whites are also good (you can get buy them separately if you don't like wasting yolks),

(Egg+ egg white and cheese omelette is filling, tasty and packed with protein for not much calories)
