Need advice on chinning/pull up bar

Hi, I'm new here and I'm hoping you'all beable to give me some advice.
I'm looking to buy a chinning bar, the type that hook over your door rather than screw in, and I would like to know if any one has used one and whether they are any good.

These are the two types I'm looking at and I was also wondering if theres any benefit in having the bar higher up like the powerbar [on left](I'm about 5'5") or if having different grip positions would be better like on the everlast 3-in-1.
I'm feeling pretty clueless here so any advice is welcomed :D

If you only use it for pull-ups than the one thats cheaper.

I'm wondering if those screwless bars (from the picture on the left) will leave etches in your door frame... lot of stress on the bar, and since I can't see the back side to see where and how it fits... or if its padded so it doesnt leave marks.

I'd like to look at them up-close in a store.

They are both about the same price, I would only be using it for pull ups so the only real differences are that the left one is higher up and is further from the door whereas the right one allows for neutral grip (palms facing) pull ups.

The 'hooks' on the left bar are padded
the right one has a solid kinda square bar which acts as its hook (lies flat across top of door frame).

I haven't been able to find them in my local sports shops, I was going to buy online, maybe I should find one to look at first..?

It depends what you'll be doing. Unless you're planning on doing 3 different types of exercises, then you might want to get the more simple one. Although, my cousin loves his Everlast 3-in-1, so eh. It looks to me like one of the 3-in-1's functions (as a sit-up aide) is kind of lame. But that's completely my preference (I like to do sit-ups with my feet in the air). But yeah, you just wanna do pull-ups so a good bet would be the single. It looks good. Have fun.

Thanks for the answers guys, I think I'll get the single function bar. Now, will I be able to find it in my local fitness store... :D

The boxing gym I used to train at had the Everlast model and I thought it was great.Took 2 seconds to put it up and there were 250-pound guys doing reps on it with no problems.I will be ordering one myself shortly.
