Neck Strain

I've been lifting more in the last few weeks, but in the past few days I've noticed some muscle in my neck pulling when doing chest presses or flys. I had a clear view to the mirrors today and could clearly see the lines popping out of my neck and it was painful enough that I stopped. It's not all the time and I don't feel as though the weight I'm lifting is too heavy (I even tried to up it today but found I wasn't quite there), so is it possible that this might be due to my form?
 
more than likely its your form that's the problem...

Forget about trying to lift the heaviest weight possible -start with a lower number that you can manage with ease and work on perfecting your form -then and only then - add weight...
