I don't really see a diffrence. I was around 300 and then got down to 270 with just running and after adding strenght training gained 10 lbs and am now 280.

Hi Alex,
Its still a great start...Don't forget that you don't just gain weight on the outside, you have fat on, in and around your organs...Losing 20lbs of that fat is great. If you are really doing a lot of exercise and watching what you eat and still not losing weight, you may want to consider getting your thyroid checked to make sure its not slow. I know how frustrating it can be to work hard and feel you have nothing to show for it, but you will get there.

dude... it takes a WHILE... its ok to be dissatisfied with how it s going... use that to push you...

just dont be discouraged... its a process it takes time

I only lost 3 kilos last month, and I thought that was pretty shit.. but just remember the 3 kilos is better then losing 0 kilos =)
It takes awhile, doesn't happen over night.
But are you eating right aswell?
I suggest low carb, does wonders for me =)

Dont give this up..keep on going, your doing good its better then gaining that much! If might not look like your loosing but oneday its just hit you and your will notice!!!

I notice a difference. I think it is harder to tell because of the angles of the pictures. You are doing great. How are your clothes fitting? Remember to not just look at the scale. Keep it up, you are doing what you need to do.

Just use that to spur you on and reason to push, you will get there as long as you keep going.

hey check out this posting on t-nation.com... good stuff... this in conjunction with various other materials ive been reading up on has convinced me to not try to add mass until my body fat is at low levels, when trying to add mass, we end up adding more fat than muscle.

It didn't take you over night or a week to put on the pounds. It will take some time to lose it as well. Sometimes the road to weight loss seems to take forever, but when you inch closer to your destination, it'll be worth the fight.

I get in the mental state of: One gram at a time... start adding up all those grams and they equal pounds... they might not come off where you want to... but its paying your dues so to speak. Your current workouts might lose some fat on your back, face, ankles, etc... but months down the road there wont be any fat to pull from those areas... where else can it come from? FINALLY the places you want it to!

Hope that helps.

its mostly mental... just don't drive yourself mental

Coors light in your hand proably isnt helping...btw how old are you?

Thats not in his hand. If you look closely you will see that it's a girl holding it (hence the painted fingernails and angel of the hand).

Keep at it Dude! It's tough but, so worth it :) I've lost 43 pounds and I'm just starting to notice.

you wont notice much difference until you get to the last 20-40lb im afraid :/
I lost 100lb and nobody noticed at all, but i lost the last 10-20lb and suddenly everyone notices!

Exercise alone probably won't cut it. Are you watching what you eat, too? If you are exercising, but still eating the same amount/type of food that caused you to be 300 lbs in the first place, it'll be more difficult to see a difference.

I suggest a structured food/exercise regiment to help you out. It's easier to concentrate on habits than scales, and much less discouraging. :)

My question is...did you make a lifestyle change? If so, it doesn't matter how long it takes, you are living healthier and losing fat. You should be proud!!

What type of plan are you on? How much are you cheating on this plan?
Is this just a "walking on lunch break" diet or are you really working up a sweat, and doing it about 5 times a week?

I had the same issue a few years back. I took a pic of myself at the start of every month for 3 months. I would run 3-4 times a week, and workout on alternate days. Problem was is that I was still eating whatever, and drinking sodas and stuff. Turns out I lost weight but not a lot. It was like 5lbs in 3 months. Than after I saw the 3rd month pic I decided to cut my calories, and lost like a pound a day for about 15 or so days. got to my goal in 30 days after starting w/ lo-cal. Only had 20lbs to lose (back in 2002) but I lost it quick once I put my mind to it.

what are you still eating

and i really doubt you gained 10 lbs of muscle... u gained 10 pounds...

watch what you eat, and exercise properly

:waving: Hi there! I think I can see a difference in your face. DON'T GIVE UP! It is a looooong (lifelong!) journey, and you will get there just one step at a time. Hang in there! Keep incorporating healthy changes and you will see those stubborn pounds come off.

Keep it up!
