can someone help me out please, thanks.

Bowflex® SelectTech™ 552 Dumbbells are so innovative that they were rated among the Top 5 best rated new products for 2005 in Men's Health Magazine.

I think the ad speaks for itself.

Too bad it looks as though the limit is 52.5 lbs.

I checked them out at a local Dick's Sporting Goods.

Cool concept, but as was stated earlier they top out at 52.5 lbs, so if you are looking to do any decent dumbell bench presses, these'll be way too light(for a guy).

The other drawback is the price. BUT, if you know someone at Dick's, the employees get a 20% discount..hint..hint..

would a 100lb pound hex dumbbells be heavy or do i need heavier? and in which weight should i buy the dumbbells in?

100 lbs ea. would probably hold ya for quite a while. Check your local want ads, or craigs list. So many people buy all this nice equipment and then say "Oh crap, this is hard work" and then they hit the Lazy-Boy with a bag of Doritos.
Lots of real nice barely used equipment out there for sale.

Get as big a spread of weights as you can afford. Some exercises like side shoulder raises don't require very much weight before you feel the burn so you will need some in the lower range.

They seem pretty nice especially if you want to get a quick workout at home. The price is a little crazy. I guess I will have to find someone the works at Dick's sporting goods.

What is craig's list?
