Hello everyone, a little bit of backround information on myself for a start!

My name is Dylan, I am 19 years old and live in Ireland. I have wanted to lose weight since January but I procrastinated and could not commit to the routine until maybe 2-3 weeks ago. I have been making great progress in my own eyes. I started off 2-3 weeks ago at a weight of 227lbs, and I am now currently as of may 1st 219lbs.

What I am doing is basic in regards routine. I have reduced my caloric intake to between 1600 - 2000 and I fit in 60 minutes of walking each day, split into two 30 minute sessions, with the inclusion of some casual outdoors sports seeing as we are finally getting some nice weather in Ireland at the moment. I will include below my meals and exercise for today seeing as what I have eaten is a good representation of what my meals each day have been like for the past 3 weeks! Thank you for reading and good luck in your weight loss journey!

August 2nd - Today

I woke up and weighed Myself today and I was at 206lbs, the same as the day previous, the 1st of August. I am content with My weightloss so far! It seems to have hit a plateau so I might mix it up with the walk today, do two 30 min sessions with mixed paces instead of one solid hour block of walking :) I am in no rush to get the weight off, I feel dedicated to the operation after these few productive weeks. This time around loosing weight I feel it is more than just a phase, I am trying to change my life up a bit, all for the better of course. I am currently on my 4th week without cigarettes and gearing up to take on one college course and one evening course this year. If all goes well I will be a very happy man by the end of it all. But I am also a very happy man through it all as I myself believe it is more about the pursuit of happiness rather than the achievment :) Have a good day

It certainly helps with consistancy of the weight loss, big time! Thanks.

August 7th

As of today I am 207lbs, which is a milestone I had set out to reach for a couple weeks and it feels good to have hit the target. It is one of many I set myself on a regular basis in order to have something to chase within reason!

I am still working at the moment as I write this but I will post my meals and workout log later in the evening :)

Have a good day!

Woah, kind of totally forgot about my weight loss diary on the forum since August 7th. Im pretty happy with myself though, I have lost 22lbs since August 7th when I last replied, and a total weight loss of 42lbs since I began my diet back in April.

I visit the gym 4-5 times a week, and still walk 4.6 miles every day of the week. My lifestyle has changed, everything from what I eat and drink, to how I spend my free time. I am currently training to take part in a 5km run, something I was never very good at. I have successfully changed my direction in life, and I am feeling as healthy as ever!

Congratulations Dylan on changing your life for the better! We all need to hear more success stories. Thanks for popping back to let us know how well you're going. That's great news! Cheers, Cate
