My wedding weight loss!

Hey everyone, I'm Khloe! I'm new here so im still not too sure how everything works, so if I'm doing something wrong, be sure to let me know!
Anyway, I am getting married in the summer and would love to shift some extra weight before my big day!

I am about 5ft 4'' and 20 years old. I currently weigh 154lb and I am aiming to lose about 20lb in the next few months. I would also love to tone up my tum!

Hopefully, in about a week I will have noticed a bit of a change so I will be able to post progress photos.

Good luck! Perhaps take a picture every 1st of the month to see progress?

Remember, the mirror (camera) is a better indicator of progress than the number on the scale.

What are you doing now as far as exercise and tell me about your eating habits?

Well before I decided to lose weight, I wouldnt have set meals, i would just eat whenever and whatever. The foods I ate were either junk foods, like chocolate or crisps, takeaways or microwave meals. The only exercise I would do would be my walk to work and back. This has only really been going on for the past 6 months and in that time I have managed to gain about 15lb.

Now I am on my new diet, I am having a wholegrain cereal for breakfast at 7am, a piece of fruit or a snack bar at around 11am. Then for lunch, at 1pm, I will have a sandwhich or soup and at around 6pm I have dinner which varies daily but is generally just something low calorie. I also drink around 3 litres of water a day. I now power walk to and from work and on wednesdays I attend Zumba classes. Every other day, I either use my fiances tredmill for half an hour or use my exercise bike. I am also doing 50 sit ups when I wake in the morning.

Whew, didnt mean to write so much, sorry!

Thankyou! I was thinking of taking a photo maybe every 2 weeks? But thats just because I'm quite impatient and I am buzzing to see my results! Good luck on your weight loss, love!

Oh, and could you tell me how you get that weight loss tracker in your signature?

Hello and welcome to the board, Khloe.

It looks like you made a good start, and I'm sure you can get to your goal for your big day! :)

As for getting a ticker, you can get them from this webpage:

The weight loss ones are usually at the top of the list. Create your ticker, and at the end it should give you the code for it. Choose the 'BBCode', copy that code, then come to this forum, go to your 'user cp' (at the top left of the page, in the blue bar). Once there, check the boxes on the left hand side until you find 'Settings and Options'. In there, chose 'Edit signature'. Paste the code that you got into the box, and there's your ticker!! :)

Hehe, I love weddings too :p I'm hoping to be able to post a picture of my big day on here if I reach my goal weight!
And thankyou, i saw your photos by the way, and you look excellent! :D

Good Luck! I'm sure you can get your goal or really really close to your goal by then! How long do you have?

I always divide my total pounds goal by 5 and figure that should be long enough to attain it as long as you maintain eating well and working out. I figured I wouldn't be where I am by April so it's nice to stay ahead.

Hey hun!

You look just like me! Hahah, thats funny, we both look the same and wish to lose the same! :)
Just remember, if you believe you can, you probably can. If you believe you won't, you most assuredly won't.
Good luck :*

Thankyou! I'm getting married on the 18th of June so I have quite a while to go but I thought I would start my diet now just to make sure I got to my goal.

Thankyou! I really like that little saying, I think I'll make it my my weight loss motto, hehe! :D Good luck to you too :)

Excellent job shifting habits. Your body will thank you for it..However, not to be negative, you will reach a point of frustration. As there are still room for improvment in the eating and the absence of Resistance Exercise HUGELY limit your potential..A vital piece of the puzzle..

To lose weight permanently / transform your body in a positive way you MUST have a concern for 3 elements:

1.Supportive Nutrition
2.Aerobic exercise
3.Resistance exercise

If any one of these 3 components is missing, or if you have them in the wrong oder you will be limited at best. Apply them correctly you become the sculptor and your body the clay!

[this is where the spammy part was]

Good luck!

You are right around my size and height, I would work the core area and some leg exercises. But really you look good and you are on the right track.

Good luck to you!!

So, i've hit a rough patch and I'm convinced I'm stuck here. I have absolutely no motivation! I mean, you would think the fact my wedding is in a few months would make me get up and exercise but it doesnt! I'm convinved that no matter what I do, I will not lose weight. Does anyone else ever feel this way, were they just want to give up?

All the time, khloe.

It's perfectly normal and everybody experiences it, even when there's something like a wedding or reunion involved that might normally motivate you beyond the norm. In situations like that, it's more of a mental game. Your body might be ready and capable, but mentally you might be feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of the wedding along with trying to accomplish a personal goal.

But you know, the mind is a powerful thing. If you've ever watched TV shows like The Biggest Loser, you will see that external encouragement only goes so far, it's whats inside you that really determines how successful you will be in the end. Tell yourself that 'you can' instead of 'you can't'. You just might be pleasantly surprised :)

Don't let negative thoughts prevent you from accomplishing something you can do. The only person stopping you from losing weight is you!

We only have one life and a limited amount of time. Do you really want to look back years from now and think to yourself 'What if I had tried harder? What if I hadn't given up?'

Regret is one of the worst feelings in the world. Believe me. I wish I could go back and reclaim all the time I spent in my late teens/early 20's being overweight and miserable so I could fix it, but I can't. That time in my life is gone forever and there's nothing I can do about it, but what I can do is use the anger and frustration I have from wasting all that time and use it as fuel to push myself even harder.

Just think about how amazing you will feel having accomplished your goal on the happiest day of your life and the fact that you didn't waste the time you have right now!

No regrets!

Now get back to work! :]

I can honestly say, that is the most motivational thing I have heard in the whole time I've been struggling with my weight. You really have a way with words!
I really don't know what to say but thankyou! I really really appreciate you writing that for me and believe it or not, it has seriously made me think. I really dont want to look back on my wedding photos and hate what i see, I want to look back and be happy that I was actually able to achieve my goal. So, thankyou <3

I am in that mode right now, but I only need to lose 5lb to reach my goal. Its hard for me to reach that point, and keep it off. Going through my clothes today helped me. I separated all my size 10 jeans from the 12, I feel like I have came a long ways and when I got up this morning I had a lose, not much, but a lose! I when back to the beginning of your post and took a look at your pictures. You are a pretty woman! If you want to tone up a little and lose a few pounds, then do it. Try setting a side 1 hour a day to do some exercises or just go for a walk. One day at a time! Start by leaving a little food on your plate at each meal. You will lose! Frog.. is right when it comes down to it, you are the one to get it done.

You can do it!!!:grouphug: Good luck to you!!!!
